AmigoReal Welcome to New York at Silverbay
"Brooklyn"
Regrettably, New Zealand's ability to follow the FCI show system seems lacking, as they only recognize the CACIB dog and bitch, for Best of Breed / Opposite Sex, omitting Junior and Veteran.
On September 23, 2023, Brooklyn earned RESERVE BEST IN SHOW at the Nelson District Kennel Club All-Breeds Open Show judged by Robert Manning.
Brooklyn has truly flourished under Bev’s care. Her success in the ring is a reflection not only of her pedigree, but also of the bond and consistency behind her journey.
Thank you, Bev, for all you’ve done to showcase Brooklyn and the AmigoReal lines with such pride and professionalism.
What makes this even more remarkable is that Brooklyn has won every single CC against competition. Unlike many others, she does not travel extensively for shows, primarily competing in Canterbury and the Blenheim/Nelson region. Despite this limited showing schedule, she has firmly established herself as a standout in the breed.
In September 2025, Brooklyn had a truly memorable outing at the Purina Pro Plan National Dog Show. At the National Dog Show (Show 1), judged by Siret Lepasaar from Estonia, she was awarded Best Bitch, Reserve Best of Breed, and Open of Breed against strong national competition of 16 entries. This was a prestigious result that truly reflects her quality and consistency.
Later that day, at the Prelude Show (Show 2) judged by Richard Paquette from Canada, Brooklyn once again shone by winning Best Bitch and Open Bitch. It was a proud moment to see father and daughter competing side by side for Best of Breed, with the final win going to her sire, Leonardo (KOR Ch & NZ Ch Neo Fabulous King of Hearts).
These achievements mark another milestone in Brooklyn’s career. She’ll soon be taking a step back from the show ring as she comes into season, preparing for her next exciting chapter in the whelping box.
