As a proud second-generation kennel with over 40 years devoted to Beagles, Sarangrave has produced some of New Zealand’s most successful and well-loved Beagles. While our dogs have achieved top wins in the show ring, our greatest reward is seeing them thrive as loyal, happy family companions.

Health and temperament are at the core of our breeding. Every Sarangrave Beagle is DNA tested for the recommended Beagle panel — Lafora, PKD, NCCD, IGS, POAG, Factor VII, and MLS, giving families peace of mind that their puppy comes from sound, carefully considered bloodlines.

Our puppies are raised in a loving home environment with plenty of early socialisation, setting them up to be confident, well-adjusted companions ready for both the couch and life’s adventures.

Pakowhai Beagles is based in rural Central Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. With over 25 years of experience owning, showing, and breeding Beagles in both the UK and New Zealand, I am passionate about producing Beagles that excel in both type and temperament.

My aim is to breed beautiful Beagles that truly reflect the breed standard, while also possessing the loving, balanced temperament that makes them such wonderful companions. The health and wellbeing of my dogs is of the utmost importance, and I am committed to careful, selective breeding practices. All of my Beagles are genetically tested for MLS, Factor VII, Lafora Epilepsy, IGS, NCCD, PKD, and POAG.
