We have owned,this wonderful breed since 1989. Pointers from world famous UK kennels, including Crookrise and Toberdoney
We are extremely proud of our Crookrise boy, Smeagol, Crookrise Liam of Ponsonby, as a stud dog, he has achieved way more than we could have anticipated. Used by top breeders here in New Zealand, he has champion progeny both here and in Australia, and is the proud sire or grandsire to many top show dogs, now all around the world. His matings have been very limited, but, has produced champions in every litter, bar one.
HIs first litter produced, AU CH P. Mr Aramis, (Arrow) sold to Simone Simpson, and exported to Des Delaine in OZ, a driving force behind many Au Champions.
2018 we come right up to date and go back to our first breeding here in New Zealand for our stud dog, using frozen semen from Arrow, with our lovely Aspyre girl, who also goes back to our original lines.
Ponsonby Blowin in the Wind, (Jonah) has been sent to the UK to Caithpoint pointers, who admire the Toberdoney and Shandandi lines that he carries
Ponsonby Diamonds and Rust has stayed here, and already from 3 weeks of showing has taken 2 baby in show, and 1 baby of group.
