I had wanted an Italian Greyhound since 1979, when I saw a photo in a book. Finally, Cassius (Champion Merikaez Yorick) made the journey to Beesholme from Australia in 2012. He became a show champion at the age of 1 year and 3 days.

This darling boy was joined at Beesholme by the beautiful and very feisty Connie - Amorosa Constance, Agatha (Ch Moonstruck Eek-a-Mouse at Beesholme), Sybille (Tuarua Tabu at Beesholme), and Sybille's daughter Ruby (Beesholme Babsy Magoo), who has already done very well in the show ring.

Our latest additions are Cassius' gorgeous blue daughter Blueberry, Moonstruck Blueberry Pie at Beesholme, and his glamorous son Blaze, Possibly Pyro at Beesholme. These two are now both New Zealand show champions.

I am excited to announce the arrival from Australia of Skyefall Heart of Gold, who is Cassius's nephew. Hunter is a beautiful and very loving little hound.

Italian Greyhounds are not a breed for everyone, but once you have one, you cannot stop!

For puppy inquiries by email, please include your location, other dogs and cats in your family, details of the ages of your children if any, whether someone is home during the day, and your overall experience with dog breeds. I will give preference to homes which already have either whippets or Italian Greyhounds, or owners who have experience of hound and/or toy breeds. have a look at the puppies page on my website for information on availability, costs and other details.

Montedena Italian Greyhounds was established by Joanne Anderson in the early 80s. I joined her in partnership after acquiring my first Montedena IG in 1999.
Together we have selectively bred, on rare occasions, to preserve this beautiful and entertaining little hound.

Montedena IGs are lovingly raised in the house and become accustomed to the usual household noises, cats and other larger hounds.

Enquiries are welcome.
