UK bred German Shorthaired Pointers, from world famous Isara Kurzhaar kennels,brought with us when we emigrated including NZ CH Isara Kurzhaar Backbencher at Ponsonby ,Szaba, and NZ CH Isara Kurzhaar Invaluable for Ponsonby, Lotte. Sadly they are no longer with us.
However, we have their granddaughter, Jade in the kennel, who is fully health tested, and plan a breeding with her, and an all English dog later this year.


Breeding only very occasionally now.

After a big move, I am now based in beautiful Invercargill, New Zealand.

My main passion is showing the dogs in Conformation Shows but I also like to take them through the Canine Good Citizen program and thoroughly enjoy Rally-O too. We also enjoy blats at the beach/ rivers and walks in the beautiful Queens park. I also hope to give Agility a whirl this year too!

The health and temperament of puppies produced is paramount when planning a litter. Parents are tested for Hips/Elbows, eyes, heart, Lupoid Dermatosis (minimum). I only breed occasionally, one litter every few years. Enquiries most welcome.

Home of the dual purpose Hunt Point and Retrieve Gun Dog. Our German stock is based on solid foundations and can be traced directly back to English lines; Midlander, Inchmarlo and Keldy origins. The Midlander bloodline has remained constant since the 1950's, producing successes both in the show ring and the field.

We are a small kennel producing the occasional litter. We ensure that each stud dog chosen suits our line and has the proven qualities of a dual purpose German Shorthaired Pointer.

Our aim is to produce puppies and dogs that are a pleasure to live with, have the attributes to make them the perfect shooting companion in tandem with conformation to accord with the breed standard.

We have been involved with German Shorthaired Pointers since the late 1970's.

Jagdhunde Kennels prides itself on GSPs with great outgoing temperaments and strong working ability. We have a bred number of dogs who work for the Department Of Conservation including the well known "Neo The Whio Dog".

We are very excited to announce our very first litter.

7 Healthy puppies made up of 6 girls and 1 boy. were born on the 5th November to our beautiful girl Puddle.

Both Mum and Dad are owned by us and are UK imports, arriving in Christchurch in May 2017.

Although they are much loved members of the family they have a long line of Crufts Champions. They were both breed at Kavacanne GSPs in Telford UK.

Both have Isara in their blood lines.

Both parents have been hip scored with clear results.

Puppies will be ready to leave around the 31st December.

We pride ourselves with our breeding programme & have some wonderful GSP's out around NZ working & taking over the household.

We have our dogs out hunting, field trialing, doing agility, rally-o & obedience.
