We have been very lucky to import some lovely dogs from Cathkin kennels in Australia starting with our tri boy NZ Ch Cathkin Lastinimpression (Imp Aus) who made a very lasting impression on us and he sired our first home bred champion Ch Lastin-Blaize of Collievale.
The last couple of years has seen us consolidate on our other imports - NZ Ch Strathaven Maker of Dreams (Imp Aus) (Atlas), NZ Ch Cathkin Pretty Spectacular (Imp Aus) (Xena) and NZ Ch Cathkin Lordy Miss Maudie (Imp Aus) (Maudie). Most recently we were lucky to be able to bring Aus Ch Cliffglynn I Met U Inmy Dreams.
The future looks bright for us at Collievale and we have a lot to be thankful for with the help people have given us. Visit our website to see what we are up to.

Have been showing Rough Coat Collies since 1985,when our first boy joined us in our family.In 2011 I imported an Ingledene Bitch from the famous UK Kennel ,and together with my Braemist boy from a top New Zealand Kennel my line was started.Just bred my 2nd litter which has some exciting breeding behind it.

We brought home our first Rough Collie in 2020 and 2 more followed in quick succession as we fell in love with the breed.
Passionately showing our dogs, we have titled all three of our bitches as New Zealand Champions, with them each achieving Bronze Merit.
Our first litter was born June 2023 and we are enjoying having a bitch, Delta, we retained being competitive in the show ring, giving us our first home bred Champion.
A dog, Avicii, has also achieved his Championship title and is now having success in the ring as a neuter show dog, having also gained his Neuter Championship Title.
Our dogs all have full breed genetic health testing carried out and are only paired to fully tested dogs that compliment their genetic health to improve the breed.
We are excited to announce Ch Pembrokehill Made You Look (Delta) is expecting her first litter, due November 2025.
I had my first dog Sam coming up to 11 yrs young who is a tri-coloured rough collie. He is from a reputable breeder in NZ. I came to know collies after loads of research and believe I have found the one. Sam is the best dog I would ever ask for. After 5 years we were able to have Sofi who is a girl from Sam's litter sister, then another 3 years later, we had Simba in planning to keep Sam and Sofi's line in our family.
We love this breed so much and would do everything to protect them, and find homes that truely deserve such amazing companions. This is not a business for us and we have not been showing due to lifestyle choices.
We take every step in breeding carefully and seriously, and do the right thing. Therefore, all our pups will be fully papered including genetic testing, and transparent with the information only for those who seriously consider a collie in their life.

We are a small, dedicated kennel based in Auckland, New Zealand and are proudly registered with DogsNZ. Specialising in Rough Collies and Chinese Crested Dogs, our focus is on producing healthy, well-rounded puppies with excellent temperaments. Alongside breeding and showing, I run a professional dog daycare, boarding, and training business, and have taught thousands of puppy classes over the years. Puppies are truly my passion, and this experience is reflected in the way each litter is raised.
All puppies are brought up in a busy family home and closely follow Puppy Culture protocols, with a strong emphasis on early neurological development, training, and socialisation. They are exposed to a wide variety of experiences, including many different people, novel stimuli, dogs, and other animals such as cats, chickens, goats, and horses, to produce confident and adaptable temperaments.
I am especially passionate about the health of Rough Collies and place a strong emphasis on responsible breeding practices.
We are committed to matching each puppy to the most suitable home based on individual temperament and lifestyle. As such, we do not operate on a first-come, first-served waitlist. Instead, we carefully select homes to ensure the best possible outcomes for both puppy and owner.
Our puppy families become part of our extended family, with ongoing support always available and an active community group to stay connected.

Rough Coat Collie - a breed combining elegance, intelligence, loyalty and a gentle temperament and nature.
We have had Rough Coat collies in our lives since 1985 and currently have four imported (2 girls and 2 boys) in our show/breeding team.
These four dogs are all fully DNA, Hip scored and Eye tested as are any dogs we use for breeding to ensure the breed standard is maintained through any breeding.
Our aim is to improve the availability of extended genetics to the breed in the available breeding stock in New Zealand and to provide structural sound dogs with true collie temperament.
Periodically we have puppies available for purchase and we maintain a list of prospective owners.
