At Bayparque we strive to produce Bassets that are sound, healthy and have fabulous temperaments. We have incorporated into our kennel what we believe are some of the best Australian, American and NZ bloodlines. All of these kennels produce consistent winners in the show ring and amazing family companions.

All our puppies are brought up in the house and are well socialised with cats and people.

At Can-Oui Kennels we breed for health, soundness and fantastic temperaments. Our bloodlines include top winning lines from NZ, UK, Canada, Australia and Sweden from very well known & highly respected kennels which include Crufts Best of Breed winner for several years running, Grand Champions and FCI International/Multi Countries Champ.

We are proud to announce we bred the TOP WINNING HOUND (Singapore), for both 2023 and 2024 - Canoui Glamour Boy Of Gucci (Ben). At present Ben is a Singapore CH, FCI CH and THE ONLY KNOW BASSET TO BE AN A20 CH! The results speak volumes for themselves both in and out of the show ring!

We do the recommended tests for Lafora, POAG and also DNA our dogs AND ONLY BREED FROM CLEAR LINES.

All our pups are home raised (INSIDE our home) with love and my full time attention. We offer a lifetime of support.

Breeders of Champion Basset Hounds since 1979. We strive to breed sound moderate hounds with excellent temperaments.

We have bred three of only six New Zealand Grand Champion Basset Hounds ever: GR CH Hunterspark Mr Basil;GR CH & Aus CH Hunterspark Mr Sandman; and GR CH Hunterspark Mr Bertie

Hunterspark was also associated for many years with Foxhounds and imported the first show Foxhounds into New Zealand in 1988, one of these hounds went on to be the only Grand Champion Foxhound, GR CHc Mingus Hound Hastings imp Aus

At Pricetige kennels we breed for quality, health and temperament. All our dogs are ‘pet first’ and puppies will be raised in our household with the same approach.

Our dogs currently excel in the obedience, therapy work, scent and especially conformation ring.

Our main stud is New Zealand’s Best of Breed winner for both 2024 and 2025.

Breeding for preservation of this excellent breed in New Zealand is our priority, to aid in this we have sourced bloodlines from top winning dogs in America, Australia & Europe.

Litters will be available on a very small basis as we plan to breed only every 3 years, preference will go to Central/Lower North Island families.

All dogs are health tested for POAG, Lafora, Thrombocytopenia and DNA profiled.
