We continue to be involved with The Rottweiler Club, which Ken helped to establish in the 80’s. He values his life membership and continues to be the Club's patron.

Our Rottewilers are a well loved part of our family so their temperament and health are a top priority. We only breed with Rottweilers that are champions that are thoroughly health tested including hips, elbows, heart, eyes and dental. We are the first breeders to have all our breeding stock heart tested clear by NZ's only canine cardiologist. (Copies of all health testing can be viewed on request.) All puppies have spinal xrays prior to leaving to ensure they are free of hemivertibrae, an increasing problem in the rottweiler.

Our puppies are well socialised with people of all ages (especially children) and are exposed to as many new experiences to prepare them for their new homes.

Moya Rottweilers are fed and raised exclusively on a "BARF" diet to ensure the most natural nutrition possible.

We are breeders of multiple best in show winners, specialty best in show winners, and best of group winners. We have 26 years of experience in movement and conformation.

Quality puppies are available for export to selected homes. Frozen semen is also available.

Welcome to Taumata Rottweilers. Our kennel is located in the city of Invercargill which is in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand and is owned by Bill Patterson and Wiki Te Tau.

Bill is the only person to date that has obtained the title of NZ Obedience Champion with two Rottweilers. His dogs have also obtained many working titles of schutzhund and IPO. Including SchHIII.

Our goal is to breed beautiful and stable Rottweilers with good nerves and excellent working drives. These Rottweilers are as comfortable on the training ground as well as home companions. As you will see from our pedigrees we have sourced our dogs from some of the best dogs available. We have imported many dogs over the years that have helped us win on the sports field as well as in the conformation ring.

We go to great lengths to provide our clients with the best puppy that is suitable for their home environment. We ensure that we match the needs of the new owner with the right puppy, so whether you require a home companion, show or sport dog there will be a puppy that suits your requirements

We have a modern kennel facility which includes a whelping complex and puppy pen. Our dogs live on a six acre farm which includes facilities for advanced training. We also offer assessment and training programmes for dogs that have behavioural issues.
