Established in 1965, we are the oldest Border Terrier Kennel in New Zealand. A small private kennel breeding outstanding quality Border Terriers with excellent temperament, health and conformation.
Home of New Zealand's Best Border of the Year in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010, NZ Ch Guilcroft Red Ochre (Border Terrier Club of NZ), who is also NZ's Top Border Terrier on the DoL score for 2008,2009 and 2010.
All of our dogs are top winning Borders in New Zealand - all are multiple Group and Show winners.
Patterdale has bred or owned well over 50 Champions worldwide.
Home raised puppies occasionally available to discerning buyers.

We got our first border from Rosemay and George Williamson Ch Patterdale Danby who lived until nearly 14 yrs. We are a small kennel of 6 borders aged from 9yrs - 11 months. Ch Chytrugh Lord Karamu (Punk) Won BoB at NZ Nationals in 2002. We have also Ch Oakwood Scottish Lassie (a daughter of Chytrugh Lady Niniwa and Ch Hollystone Tom Foolery)CH Ballach Rosie Smith ( a daughter of Ch Chytrugh Lord Karamu & Ch Narrabri Muffin Apricot)Lester Borda Im Just Magic ( a daughter of Ch Lester Borda Goody Too Shoez & Ch Hollystone Twist of Fate)Chytrugh Lord Whitekaka ( a son of Ch Oakwood Scottish Lassie & Ch Dunrobin Mack the Hack) and the little one Chytrugh Lady Kohia (a daughter of Chytrugh Lord Whitekaka & Ch Ballach Rosie Smith.

Tennille Border Terriers was est in 1986.
My first Border Terrier was from Rosmary Williamson of Patterdale Border Terriers, Ch Teca of Patterdale.
Tennille Borders has bred over 15 NZ Champions and 3 Australia Champions, I am very grateful to Rosemary for helping me start in this wonderful breed and also to Robert Bartram of Craigend Border Terriers for looking after and showing to his Aussie title NZ & Aust Ch Tennile Howzat Hadlee.I am also gratefull to Robertfor letting me use at stud Ch Craingend Cheviot Piper and for sending to New Zealand for me to campaign Aust & NZ Ch Craigend Chowchilla. Also a thank you to E Davies, R Knox and L Corbett, who owned Aust & NZ Ch Brigand of Brokhole and Lynsett (Brig) he was a lovley dog and did so much for the Breed here in New Zealand and in Australia. Using these dogs helped me improve my Borders so so much. Breeding Ch Sure Shot of Tennille ADX the first Border Terrier in New Zealand to achive this title.We now look forward to the future of our kennel only 25 years young.

I have been breeding Austalian Terriers for 30 yrs with much success in the show ring. The Border Terrier entered my life about 10 yrs ago and again have had a lot of success in the show ring with dogs I have purchased and ones I have bred. The imports in my kennel include NZ/Am Ch Skyline Johnny Come Lately (Imp USA)Johnny and NZ & Aust Ch Bohunt Pillow Talk (Imp Aust)Ace, who is now titled and leaving for his home in Australia very soon. My kennel is also the home of top winning NZ Ch Boomtown Borda Solitaire.
