Whilst at the centennial ladies dog show in England (2004) I discovered the BRT's. Home I came and the research began. Our first dog Ivan the Terrible (russiandownunder)arrived from the UK. It was love at first sight and that love affair continues. A year later we approached Jo Chorny and she kindly let us purchase a bitch. The result of that is our litter born 2009.
Owning an animal park we need our dogs to be both people and animal friendly, our Russians are that. Ivan is the meet and greet man here and at our local Animates pet store. He is very non threatening and loves nothing better than getting on the buses to greet the children. Our Girl Roxa will bark to let us know we have visitors and stand back until she feels comfortable.

We have what we consider the best BRT's in NZ and are breeding for the love of them. The people and homes our puppies go to are carefully checked and we continue to have regular contact with the new owners. We have bred Giant Black Schnauzers for over 20 years so are very familiar with large breeds.

Our dogs are a huge part of our lives and we feel that our Russians are a trustworthy and robust breed who can and will give buckets of love and loyalty to owners.

We welcome prearranged visits to view our wonderful Black Russians, I like nothing better than extolling their virtues (not that I'm biased) So if you are interest in the breed then please contact us. We are in the process of importing more Russians. Three is never enough.
