We are a small hobby kennel breeding on the very best American and Canadian lines.

We are breeders and owners of all breeds Best In Show winners. Our philosophy is to breed for ourselves continuing to improve on our current dogs, placing high importance on correct structure and type.

Our show dogs are also working dogs and they thoroughly enjoy doing what they were bred to do.

Zenfro was founded on Christmas Eve 1993, with the birth of the "Famous Five", the first Alaskan malamute litter produced from frozen semen in New Zealand.

Since 1993, Zenfro has imported dogs from highly regarded American, Canadian and Australian lines ensuring the quality for which we are renowned continues.

Our malamutes are raised to be pets first and foremost and as such we place great emphasis on temperament. We strongly believe in soundness of "mind and body", breeding to standard with excellent type and movement.

At Wolfsong Kennels we take breeding seriously and provide support to our puppy and mature dog buyers for the duration of the dogs life. Our dogs participate in sled dog sport and weightpulling as well as showing.

BIS Ch Wolfsong Wizardry at Work SDCH (Harry) and Ch Wolfsong Spot of Wizardry SDX (Merlin)are our current breed representatives, but their grandfather BISS Ch Wolfsong The High Flier WTD, WSD, WWPDX (Rufus) is still in charge at home. Our three boys were sired by US Champions by frozen semen.

Our breeding focus has always been conformance to the standard, physically and mentally.
