Gorgeous Cocker Spaniel babies are anticipated here at Kalaugher, with puppies expected to be ready for their new homes around the weekend of 18–19 July 2026, if all proceeds as planned.
Kalaugher is a small, home-based Cocker Spaniel breeder located in Weston, North Otago, New Zealand, dedicated to preserving correct breed type, sound temperament and long-term health. Our dogs are raised as part of the family and are regularly exhibited in the conformation show ring.
This carefully planned breeding incorporates Australian and New Zealand bloodlines, selected for quality, balance and temperament. We breed only occasionally, usually when planning to retain a puppy for our own show team, with any remaining puppies placed in carefully chosen homes.
All breeding dogs undergo comprehensive DNA health testing, including PRA-prcd, FN (AHRN) and AON, ensuring no puppy bred at Kalaugher will be affected by these known hereditary conditions.
Puppies are raised inside our home with extensive early socialisation and exposure to everyday household activity, children and other animals, giving them a confident and well-adjusted start to life.
Puppies will be registered with Dogs New Zealand and sold with endorsements, including not to be bred from and not to be shown. Puppies will be microchipped, vaccinated, vet checked and well socialised, with ongoing advice and support provided.
