Dogueridge Kennel is located in Bay of Plenty. We have had our two chosen breeds for over 32 years so are well experienced in both the Dogue de Bordeaux & Ridgeback.
We are also exhibitors / breeders of these breeds but only breed on a rare occasion when we need a new dog.
Good health/ temperament and the welfare of our breeds is our first priority with our dogs being family members first and foremost.

Dogueridge Kennels , is a small NZKC registered kennels in the beautiful Bay of Plenty in New Zealand. We are truly passionate about this breed and have been in the breed for 32 odd years.
We are proud to say we are the only kennel in Australasia to have won 4 DDB Specialty shows under such specialty judges like Luis Teixiera and Bas Bosch.
We are the founders of the Dogue de Bordeaux Club of NZ, sadly now disbanded, started to help educate owners/ and breeders to preserve this breed and also instrumental in starting the Mastiff Breeds Association of NZ and are the current secretary.
Bordeaux's are a unique dog in so many ways, once you have owned one you would be hard pressed to find another breed to compare to them. There loyalty is unquestionable and even on the worse day they will put a smile on your face or make you feel loved.
We strive to produce true to type Bordeaux's with great temperaments & longevity so are selective in the lines we have. We breed very rarely but when we do it is mainly for our own benefit foremost and to improve on the quality of the Bordeaux's we already have, but we do on occasion have pet puppies available.
We show rarely now as we will not force our dogs to do something they are not keen on and showing now seems more about egos than anything plus also there is virtually no competition at the shows with the Bordeaux now..

Dogueridge NZKC registered kennel situated in the beautiful Bay of Plenty in NZ.
We have owned, exhibit & breed the Rhodesian Ridgeback for nearly 32 years. All of our dogs are part of the family and are treated as such first and foremost. I have been involved with the Rhodesian Ridgeback association also as their secretary but have now stepped away from the role.
We strive to achieve true to type Rhodesian Ridgebacks with good health and temperament. But with the breed being an aloof breed by nature they are no Labrador .We feel the Rhodesian Ridgeback is one of the most healthiest breeds anyone could own these days with our knowledge of this breed. When we breed we do it generally for our own benefit to improve on what we have or to add to our show team but we do usually have pets available on contracts from these litters and a puppy register you could be added to for future mating's.
The Ridgeback is a very loyal, strong and athletic dog which is a sight to behold when on the move.
