Founded in 1965 as Rerehau Cardigan Welsh Corgis, then changed to the globally recognised COPPERLEAF prefix in 1977. Breeding and showing Cardigans for 42 years and exporting to 8 countries, Copperleaf Cardigans became known for their high standard and excellent winning and breeding performance in NZ and lands far beyond. After a 13 year break away from the dog fancy, in 2019 I returned to the breed, importing quality breeding stock from long established winning bloodlines in Australia. We now occasionally have puppies and older stock available to discerning buyers. The health of our dogs is extremely important and we run all necessary tests. The kennel is situated in the rolling Waikato countryside.
