It is with deep regret that we have decided to not progress our breeding plans for the Finnish Lapphund breed in NZ.
In line with our philosophy of "Never Set a Puppy Up to Fail". we are not confident that breeding Lappy's is right for us, or them.
As such our dear Shiloh is available to head off on her own adventure.
Ideally she will go to a home that is one on one with her human or a home that has gentle natured medium sized dogs (as she is).
She loves giving hugs and play time, toys don't last long with this breed.
Shiloh does not like wildlife in general, especially when the stare at her, she hasn't attacked but will alarm call.
Finnish Lapphund vocals are rather unique. Suburbia may not be an ideal place for her but every situation is open to investigation to see if it would work.
Her new parents must be clued up about the breed and its unique needs.
Shiloh will be spayed prior to placement unless a registered kennel arrangement/guardianship is approved.
Shiloh will be 4 years old in March 24, Maturity is coming, but she isn't there yet. Hence why we say you must have knowledge of the breed, if not hands on then at least a good understanding of the breed needs.
Lappy's do require secure fencing, loads of love, interaction and regular grooming is a must. There is an assortment of disciplines they breed is competent in, with some training. She has done conformation shows.
