POINTSCORE RESULTS GUIDE
(Obtaining Catalogue Numbers)
When calculating catalogue numbers, always have the following in mind ...
- If you win a Best or Runner-Up in Show, you need to submit the catalogue numbers for the Show.
- If you win Best or Runner-Up in Group, you need to submit the catalogue numbers for the Group.
- If you win Best or Runner-Up of Breed, you need to submit the catalogue numbers for the Breed.
- In all cases, DO NOT DEDUCT the absentees or baby puppies. The points calculation is based on the number of entries listed as per the catalogue.
- Submit the number of entries as per the catalogue, NOT the number of points that you should be awarded. The system will calculate the correct number of points you should be awarded for your win based on the number of entries as per the catalogue.
The following guide will give you examples on how to obtain catalogue numbers. Please ensure that you check how the catalogue for your show is formatted. Any results received where the catalogue (or entry) numbers are incorrect, may mean your result will be disqualified from that show.
It is up to you to check how the catalogue for your particular show is formatted!
(Never assume the catalogue is in a certain format)
Single Day Show Catalogue Example

When a catalogue is similar to the above and all the catalogue numbers are sequential, you have the choice of either physically counting the entries for the Breed, Group or Show (depending on your win) or just submitting the first and last catalogue numbers.
In the example above, if you receive Best of Breed for the Japanese Chin, you could enter the catalogue numbers as follows :
Start Catalogue Number : 129
End Catalogue Number : 134
Alternatively you can just submit the number of entries. (In this case it is 6 entries).
Multiple Days Show in One Catalogue Example

When a catalogue is similar to the above and there is multiple days listed in the same catalogue, you must physically count the entries for the particular day of your win and submit the number of entries. (We will not accept the first and last catalogue number in this instance as it would give the incorrect number of entries).
In the example above, if you receive Best of Breed for the Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) on the Friday, the total number of entries that you would submit would be 4 (dogs 319, 321 and 323 were not entered at the Friday show).
If you received Runner-Up Best of Breed on the Saturday, you would submit 6 as the total number of entries.
If anything is unclear, please email us for clarification.
Submitting incorrect figures will cause your result to be disqualified.
