Melandar Kennel has a long standing reputation both here in New Zealand and overseas as one of the top producing kennels of sound Siberian Huskies.
Shona's many years of service to the dog world has led to some beautifully bred dogs who have and continue to achieve great results both in the conformation show ring being awarded (Dogz Online Pointscore 2022) Breeder of the Year, Showdog of the Year, Rising star of the Year both South Island & Nationally. We also have had pleasing results on the track doing what they were born to do, running in harness!
Melandar has produced many dual titled champions and has also had dogs in both agility and obedience sports with wonderful results.
We are home to the one and only Grand Champion Melandar Mack Kenzie, who represented New Zealand at the Eukanuba World Dog Challenge in Long Beach California and made us proud on the world stage.
Our carefully selected breedings all began and continue from imported bloodlines from some of the top breeders in the USA.
Our dogs are health tested and litters are carefully planned to try and breed the best quality, healthiest and most sound dogs we can.
Our puppy owners will be heavily vetted and first come first served does not apply! Only the very best forever homes will be considered. Our puppies will be sold as pets only and are not to be bred from.
With many many years of experience with the breed, Melandar's reputation speaks for itself.
